Important Announcement Regarding Virtual Program Registration for 2013-2014 school year is open June 10 – August 30, 2013 Begin the process of registering your student(s) by following the steps below. New Families set up a user account. Have you already set up an account? Continue your enrollment or check your student’s enrollment status. After you have completed the online application above, please complete the Griffin-Spalding County School System online registration forms. Once you have completed the enrollment application AND the GSCS online registration form, please bring the required documents to the Central Registration office to complete the registration process: •Certified copy of the Certificate of Birth •Certificate of Immunization, Form No. 3231 •Certificate of Eye, Ear & Dental Screening Examination, Form No. 33004 •Social Security Card •Proof of Residency – one proof from each list ONE OF EITHER: Copy of mortgage statement/payment – dated with name, address Copy of rental agreement– this must include the names of all people living in the house, the name of the lease holder/company, expiration date, signatures or a mortgage agreement AND ONE OF ANY: Copy of utility bill, telephone bill or cable TV bill – name and address must appear on statement. The utility company will provide a written verification. Copy of current property tax bill/statement of value Copy of homeowner's insurance policy/receipt‐ must be dated and show name and address Income tax form with address – current year ONLY •State Photo ID of LEGAL parent/guardian •Proof of custody/guardianship if person other than the natural parent is registering the child. Legal proof of the guardianship is needed (i.e. court documents or DFACS papers). •Withdrawal Form (all grades), discipline report and transcript for middle and high school students from previous school attended. Parents/guardians are encouraged to call 770‐229‐3710 option 1 for a registration appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome. Once you complete the registration process at the Parent Services Center located at 234 E. Taylor St, you will be required to attend an orientation session at a later date. During the orientation session, we’ll verify your student's information, relay school policies, and review the responsibilities of both the student(s) and the parent(s). Several orientation sessions will be conducted in July and August. For a full schedule, please call 770-229-4365 or 770-229-3700. Once the orientation session is completed, applicants will be notified of acceptance into the GSCS Virtual Program.
