The Clean Air Campaign, in partnership with the Georgia Department of Transportation, has named Jackson Road Elementary School a Clean Air School.  The Clean Air Campaign has helped over 300 schools in Georgia create safer and healthier campuses.

In addition, children become more engaged students of the environment by taking part in action-based learning projects to reduce air pollution and traffic. Students receive additional education on sustainability, air quality and transportation.

Laura Jordan, principal of Jackson Road Elementary School, said, "Environmental science is very important in today's world, and this honor shows that our students are not only studying it, but are truly living it."
