Also, thanks to Mr. Prince for being our mystery, money-holding teacher.

Feel free to check your own work against the answers, which have been highlighted.

DISCLAIMER:  The Kennedy Road Math Challenge is open to students currently enrolled at Kennedy Road during the 2009-2010 school year.

Step 1 for solving the Kennedy Road Math Challenge...solve this problem.

A worm is at the bottom of a 12-foot wall.  Every day it crawls up 3 feet, but at night it slips down 2 feet.  How many days does it take the worm to get to the top of the wall?

HINT: It might help if you draw a picture of what is happening each day.

Step 2 Click on the correct answer to move to the next problem.  Be careful, though.  There are several paths through this challenge but only one path will lead you to the money.

Good luck!
