The Griffin-Spalding County School System provides qualified students with English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). This instructional program is for eligible English Language Learners (ELLs) in grades K-12 .

When students enroll in the Griffin Spalding County School System they are asked to complete a home language. If any language other than English is spoken in the home each student's language skills are assessed. If the assessment shows a student would benefit from additional language instruction he is placed in the ESOL program. ELL students are taught in cluster schools. Each student is included in regular education classrooms. ESOL teachers provide instructional intervention for each student.
