By getting more engaged, parents help us work towards closing the achievement gap between students and their peers and also change the culture of schools so parents, students and teachers define success as the academic achievement of every child.

The District Parent and Family Engagement Policy establishes the district’s expectations and objectives for meaningful parent and family engagement and describes how the district will implement a number of specific parent and family engagement activities, and it is incorporated into the district’s plan submitted to the Georgia Department of Education.
Title I is designed to ensure that all children have the opportunity to obtain a high quality education and reach grade-level proficiency. Title I programs must be focused on improving student achievement and include strategies to support parent and family engagement.
GSCS needs your help evaluating parent engagement programs and school quality for the 2019-2020 school year.
