Dr. Norman C. Sauce III in July of 2021 transitioned to the role of Executive Director of Student Support Services supervising and overseeing the departments of Student Services, Exceptional Students (Special Education), MTSS/Project AWARE, and the district's Counseling Program. Previsously Dr. Sauce served as the Executive Director of Elementary Education for the Griffin-Spalding County School System. In that role, Dr. Sauce supervised and supported all elementary school principals within the Griffin-Spalding County School System, the system's Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) program, English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program, and elementary Gifted Education program. He also monitored and supported the elementary counseling program. Prior to joining the Griffin-Spalding County School System in 2017, he served as a high school principal within the DeKalb County School District, and as an elementary principal within Fulton County Schools. Before moving to Georgia, he served as a social studies teacher and assistant principal at schools in his native Southern California. He earned his Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern California, his Master of Education degree from the University of California Los Angeles, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from California State University Long Beach. Dr. Sauce is the proud husband and father to his wife and twin boys.
