A dental program for Griffin-Spalding County School System students was established on September 10, 2001. In cooperation with Southside Medical Center of Spalding County, the children of Spalding County are now able to see a dentist during school hours. Transportation is provided by the school system. Services provided include: cleanings, X-Rays, fillings and sealants.
All students (PK - 12th grade) are eligible to participate in this program. No child will be denied services on the basis of financial difficulties. Enrollment forms are sent home with students at the beginning of the school year. If you are interested in this program and did not receive an application, please contact your school nurse or Licia Evans RN, BSN at 770-229-3710 Ext 10350.
Children can also see the dentist during the summer. Please contact Southside Medical Clinic at (678) 688-8700 for an appointment.
